An Apprenticeship with Sandwell Council is the perfect way to to help you decide what job you may want in the future. This opportunity will provide real work experience at the same time as gaining qualifications. We will help you all the way with quality training and support from professional experienced Council staff.

A Graduate opportunity with Sandwell Council will help to give you a competitive start in your future ambitions by providing you with real work experience to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and vocational skills. You will gain experience from a variety of service areas, you will receive quality, support and development from professional experienced Council staff.

On both programmes you will:-
• Learn new skills,
• Earn while you learn.
• Gain Work experience.
• Attend relevant training.
• Apprentices will work towards a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in the relevant subject area including key skills.

Apprenticeships and Graduates are being offered throughout the Council, roles vary in our many different services.

Important dates to note if you are thinking of applying for one of these roles. The listed is mandatory for all applicants applying.
• Date for return of Application form: 28th September 2009
• If you are initially being considered you will be invited to take part in an Assessment day which will be on the 7th October 2009.
• If you are successful at the assessment day you will be invited for an interview.
• Interviews will be carried out week commencing 21st – 27th October.
• If you are successful at interview you will be receive a verbal offer of a placement subject to references and clearances.
• You will start your placement on the 16th November 2009.
