However, the great thing about West Bromwich Albion F.C is that their work do not stop after 90 minutes of running around. West Brom has an award winning Community Programme and Study Support Centre that runs 7 days a week from dusk till dawn, giving 1,000s of young people the opportunity to be part of the Albion experience - helping young people not only with their soccer skills, but also cricket, golf, dance, maths, english, ICT, life skills and loads of other things too!

Over the next few issues, we’re going to highlight some of the ways you - regardless of race, gender, religion, disability or even which football team you support- can get involved with your local Premier League Football Club - and not just by becoming a professional footballer! So don't forget to check back next issue to find out other ways you can get involved and believe me... there are loads!

Kickz

The Kickz Project is for anyone age 13-18yrs, male or female, so that includes you!

It’s not just a project for the next David Beckham or Kelly Smith to be spotted at; it’s for everyone - even if you don’t like football! The Kickz Project gives you the opportunity to take part in football coaching, basketball, Djing and mixing, use the internet, street dance, cricket, chill out and heaps more, and the great thing is... IT’S FREE! Just turn up at Barnford Park (Oldbury) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays or Jubilee Park (Tipton) on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between 5:30 -8:30pm for your chance to be part of Sandwell's only Premier League Football Club!

The aim of the project is simple - help you get the best out your life! It does this by:
- Getting you involved in positive, constructive activities
- Reducing crime and anti-social behaviour.
- Breaking down barriers between the police and
young people.
- Encouraging volunteering. You never know... you could become a volunteer yourself!
- Creating routes into training and employment.
- Increasing playing, coaching and officiating opportunities.
- Increasing young peoples interest in the game.

So, if you think Kickz is for you, and lets face it... it pretty much is for everyone, then get yourself down to one of the venues now! If you still need convincing, why not give Ryan Maye (the Kickz boss) a call on 0871 271 9840.
