Upon arriving we were started the day off by having breakfast and get to know other people that attended the conference.

We were then given a speech from two well-known people. Our first speaker was a woman who talked about ‘how is big in the sports world’ she was a professional snowboarder who was also a tree surgeon in her spare time.
The second speaker was a man how was big in the acting world who was done many films that many people have seen.
They both spoke about how they struggled to understand why they were different and about how coming out was hard and how it changed their life.

After that we had our workshops. My first workshop was titled ‘1 cast drink’, it was a task to ensure safety when out with friends. 1 person had to wear beer goggles and the 2otherr had to guide them through the course where they had certain tasks to perform like putting a condom on a dildo with lube and making a sandwich.

The second workshop was titled ‘getting involved’. It was about advertising to put your word across and we were given something to campaign against and put on a campaign for the rest of the group.

We were then given a break for refreshments then taken to the top floor where the staff put on a show for us all and then we were given a chance to ask questions to get to know the staff.

It was a fun day and great experience that we all enjoyed very much.
