Eastenders heartthrob Neil McDermott presented achievement awards to Sandwell young people at a special ceremony.

The soap actor, who plays Ryan Malloy, was the special guest at the Sandwell Teenagers Achieve Recognition (Star) awards.

The accolades celebrate the dedication and contribution made to the community by 13 to 19-year-olds, and up to 25 year-olds with learning difficulties and disabilities.
