Findng Events on the site

How do I search for an event?
You can search for an event a number of ways. From the home page, you can see the latest events added. Clicking on the 'events' tab will take you to the events page where you can search events by text and see events in a certain category such as 'Circus', ‘Dance', etc. If you are logged in, you can see the venues with events that are nearest to you. You can then click on the event in the list to view more details, comment on it and get directions and public transport information.

Checking out our Venues
You can view the venues by clicking on the venue name in the 'event view’. This will give you more details about the event facilities, opening times and general information.

My Profile

How do I change my Password?
Log in to the site. This will take you to your profile home page. Click Change Password. This takes you to the page where you can update your password.

How do I edit my personal details?
Log in to the site. This will take you to your profile home page. Click Edit your personal information. This takes you to the page where you can update your personal information.

How do I upload an image and who can see it?
Log in to the site. This will take you to your profile home page. You can upload or remove a profile image from this page.

How do I keep my personal details private?
Log in to the site. This will take you to your profile home page. Click Edit your personal information. Ensure the Profile Privacy Setting has 'Private' selected.

How do I add a blog?
Log in to the site. This will take you to your profile home page. Click Add New Blog. You will find instructions on how to add a blog on this page. Please note any blogs will not be viewable until approved by site admin.

How do I add an image gallery folder?
Log in to the site. This will take you to your profile home page. Click Add New Folder. You will find instructions on how to add a folder and images on this page. Please note any images will not be viewable until approved by site admin.

Who can see the stuff I upload?
If you set Profile Privacy (see above) to Private, none of your personal details are viewable. Only by setting your profile Privacy to 'Public' is certain information viewable and then only by registered users

What are Friends?
Friends are people that you have searched for and added as a friend. Friendship requests need to be approved by the recipient before you are linked to your friend.

What are My Events?
My events are events you've indicated that you’ll be attending, and events that are in the past that you've attended.

Adding an Event

Who Can Add an Event?
In order to add an event you need to be an authorised event user. You will need to be approved by Sandwell MBC. Click here to start the registration process. Once you are registered, you can add an event from your profile panel.

What's Voice 21?
Voice 21 is a regular magazine produced by Sandwell MBC and aimed at Young People - you can get a preview by clicking here, and see where you can pick up a 'proper' copy of the latest edition.
