Bikeability Cycle Training In Sandwell
Bikeability Cycle Training In Sandwell

The aim of the bikeability training is to encourage more people in the Sandwell area to use cycling as a sustainable mode of transport. The training can be offered for free to various groups of people in Sandwell, including JSA and Dissability Allowance Claimants, Disadvantaged BME groups and Lone parents.

The training itself is being provided by CTC the national cyclists organistion and is being run in conjunction with Sandwell Primary Care Trust. I myself work for Groundwork West Midlands and we are helping promote this scheme through our links to the local communities. The beneficiaries to our promotion are people aged 16+, so groups of youths are more than welcome to take part together. There are a range of levels to the training ranging from basic control and steer to learning how to ride safely on major roads.

Promotional leaflets are available to download beneath this blog.
